Pristiq User Reviews

When I first started taking Pristiq, I noticed the difference in my mood within 2 days. For the first week I had a horrible case of the jitters, and constantly felt fatiqued... I decided to try taking it just before bed, rather than first thing in the morning, and the side effects disappeared. It took about 3 weeks for me to adjust completely fo the medication and get back to a regular sleeping routine, and now I see what life is supposed to be like. I love the new person I've become, and the happiness i feel.

I have been on this treatment for about one month. This is the first time I have been on any kind of treatment for depression. I experienced severe nausea for the first two weeks to the point were I could not be in a car for more than a couple of miles without getting car sick. That has gone away but I still experience fatigue and insomnia. As for my mood, I am finding that I can focus better than before I began treatment. I'm still searching for something that makes me feel like my old self again. I would recomend people give this a try. Maybe it will work for you better than it is for me. Good luck!

I had an episode of high blood pressure and my Dr. decided to change my medication a couple of times in the middle of this I began to suffer with anxiety because nothing would control my BP at the time it was only from a couple of visits to the ER before one DR. stated he thought that I was experiencing anxiety and possible panic attacks well I was in denial and so was my family. After hearing it from my PCP that he did not know why all os a sudden my BP meds. would not work and he told me to see a Phychiatrist for an evaluation and sure enough I was suffering from anxiety and major depression. It took about 1 month on Pristiq to start to feel my old self. And I was able to go back on my low dose of BP meds. I continue to take Pristiq but I have given up some of the high stressors in my life retired from hospital coding and billing after 25 years and never felt better in my life. All prior symptoms are gone and it's been about 2 years now.

I am now 20 years old, and was taking pretty much everything out there for depression. I was on effexor 250 mg, and stopped feeling the effects. I wanted to go completely off of medicene for a while to see how I felt. After a month or so I felt like crap. So went back to my doctor and got prescribed celexa 20mg. I do not recommend celexa whatsoever. Yesterday I went back to my doctor. I mentioned pristiq.. He only said good things about it, and informed me of other patients success stories. So I wanted to try it. He gave me 50 mg and I took my first dose this morning, and HOLY SHITTT!!!! I havent been this happy in 15 YEARS! Great stuff!
